Three talented dancers of Amy's School of Dance were selected to attend a week-long ballet forum at the national CNADM dance convention in the greater Chicago area, July 15 - 22, 2019. Molly Princehouse (11), Laurel Schroeder (12) and Addyson Siepker (12) from Huxley, IA, hope to attend and represent Amy's School of Dance.
This five day ballet intensive provides students the opportunity to study with professional ballet faculty. With low attendee-to-faculty ratios, these dancers will receive an intimate and focused continued education in technique and methods of dance. In addition, each of our dancers will begin certification coursework for the CNADM Student Honors Program. This intensive training and curriculum will educate our dancers to eventually test and be certified to teach dance in the future. At the conclusion of this forum, students will participate in the creation of a new ballet, and then perform at the Ballet Gala.
By the weekend, the exposure to world-renowned, professional dancers broadens signficantly. Two and a half days packed full of jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, musical theatre and contemporary dance. These Student Session workshops are designed to further inspire and enhance the development of these young dancers. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Student Competition at the end of the week long adventure; Addy and Molly will compete their outstanding duet one last time, and all three young ladies will compete their solos.
The Chicago National Association of Dance Masters is dedicated to promoting professional, quality dance education by providing opportunities for continued education in the techniques and methods of dance, updated curriculum and certification for the instruction of dance. The Association serves as a conduit for information affecting dance educators and their profession.
With any educational opportunity, there is a pricetag, and in this case, a hefty financial commitment for each dancer to be able to attend this intensive dance training. To help offset that personal cost, I humbling ask our dancers' family and friends to consider supporting them so they may experience this wonderful opportunity.
Your investment will not only provide this opportunity for each to grow and learn in their dancing abilities, but also contributing to their valuable structured training as they begin their journey of certification to be able to teach dance in the future.
These three young women are some of my most responsible, passionate, hard-working and talented leaders at our studio. Please consider supporting Molly, Laurel and Addyson in this endeavor. Thank you!
- Miss Amy
Your support and sponsorship will make this week-long ballet forum possible
for these three wonderful dancers. Each dancer is hoping to raise approximately $2000 to cover her registration and all travel costs.
If you choose to contribute, your full donation will be
dedicated to the dancer you wish to support.
*At the end of of this fundraising campaign,
all gifts will be identified and allocated to the correct dancer.
Thank you!

Molly has been dancing at Amy's School of Dance since she was 18 months old. Her passion for dance began shining through at a very young age, and her hard-work and committment has never faultered. Though Molly has received great instruction from dedicated teachers through the years, she has gained far more than dance skills in her training. She's learned teamwork, stage presence, setting and meeting goals, discipline, and most importantly, she's gained confidence and positive self-esteem. Dancing has given her opportunities to develop skills she will use for the rest of her life.
Molly spends over a dozen hours a week at the studio. Though the majority of that time she is dancing in classes, she also is very invested in teaching younger students and assists with ballet and lyrical classes. She's always had strong mentors to look up to (primarily older dancers at ASOD), but as Molly has grown and matured so much in the past few years, she has now become one of the "big kids" and a role model for our younger dancers.
Molly's dance experience is extensive; she's been a member of ASOD's Performing Troupe since 2013 and Competition Team since 2015. She has also earned roles in Iowa State's
The Nutcracker Ballet for three years as a harlequin and angel (2016 - 2018), Ballet Des Moines' Cinderella as a cobbler (2018) and The Princess Mermaid as a frog and townsperson (2019). This will be Molly's third trip to CNADM's Student Sessions weekend session (2015 and 2017), and has taken advantage of learning from professional dancers and instructors in many workshops and master classes through the years in and around central Iowa.
Molly says she hopes she is able to attend CNADM for the week-long forum; she is most looking forward to the teacher training, meeting new friends and doing nothing but dance for an entire week.

Laurel Schroeder is in her 10th year at Amy’s School of Dance. She joined with a friend when she was two years old and quickly found her passion for dance. Since joining she has enjoyed learning several styles of dance, performing in theater productions, recitals, dance competitions, and local town celebrations. Laurel earned a lead part of Jasmine in Aladdin (2018) which combined both her dance and acting talents.
Laurel enjoys all styles of dance and has taken an avid interest in developing her ballet skills this past year. When asked to describe what she loves most about dance she says “I love the feeling of joy that dance brings to my life. The combination of art, performance, expression, music, and choreography is amazing. Dance is my passion.” Laurel aspires to become a professional dancer and a dance instructor.
"I have had the privilege of working with Miss Jill Kragie, my ballet instructor this year in a private lesson. When I inquired about CNADM and asked for her thoughts, she strongly encouraged me to attend. She stated it was the best continuing education opportunity she has experienced as a professional dancer and instructor. The instructors are phenomenal and the skills you will gain are immeasurable. If you have any inclination to become a professional dancer this forum will give you that experience. I am very excited to gain as much knowledge and skills as I can from the professional dancers that will be leading this forum. " - Laurel

Addyson has been dancing since she was 2 years old at Amy's School of Dance. She has fallen in love with all types of dance, however, tends to favor jazz, ballet, and musical theater. When asked to describe her love of dance she says, “Because I like to express my feelings through movement, and be able to forget about things that worry me. Dance is special to me because I have learned a lot about myself and I have really grown close to my dance family. This is not just a fun thing I get to do. It has become a way of life for me that I hope to one day turn into a career!”
Addy's performance experience is extensive. She has been a member of ASOD's Performing Troupe since 2012 and Competition Team since 2017. She has also earned roles in Ballet Des Moines' Cinderella as a cobbler (2018) and The Princess Mermaid as a fish (2019).
Addy is a natural on stage and in addition to her strong dancing abilities, she's passionate about sharing her theatrical talent, as well. She's held lead roles in ASOD Fall Show for several years, performances of both dancers and actors, including The Lorax (2015), the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (2016), Bert in Mary Poppins (2017) and the Genie in Aladdin (2018).
Addy competed her Genie musical theater solo this spring and has been recognized by judges for her showmanship and outstanding performance (2019).
Addyson hopes to attend CNADM and be able to continue to grow both in her skills and knowledge of dance, and is excited to take classes with some new instructors. Getting insight from different instructors and learning quality dance education will be a big step for her to further her dance journey.
